- Matthew Costner is the pastor at Valley View Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee. Since graduating from the Vanderbilt Divinity School in 2006, Matthew has furthered his ministry experience in pastoral care and discipleship. He’s also worked as a consultant to various churches and para-church organizations. In addition to preaching and teaching, Matthew’s passion also includes writing. From technical writing as a representative for the state of Florida to a feature in Neue Quarterly (Relevant Magazine), Matthew’s work has been read and received. I have truly known people like this...but then again, I *did* grow up near Nashville! :P
Funny...but there is a lot of truth to it...and has been since the days of southern gospel...and I am sure before that as well. :)
